A couple of years ago the team at Rowing The World decided to share our favourite rowing pups that we follow on IG. We were so excited to find out that we are not the only ones to get a positive boost from seeing dogs enjoying rowing lifestyle. Since then, we started featuring rowing dogs on our IG every Friday (to kick off the weekend). We posted and reposted so many, we lost count. Here are a few of our recent favourites.
Let’s start with MAGESTICAL Tiberius, the boathouse Bernese. He is new to IG, and we believe he is from Charles River. We especially like pictures of Bernese since one of our team members has one too – just not a rowing Bernese…
Another Berner, Minnie, is a volunteer coach for Stanford Women’s Crew. Definitely got the team clothing aced.
Then we have Wallace the rowing dog, miniature schnauzer from the UK. He is so full of energy, his IG is mostly videos! You can catch him at Henley Royal Regatta.
Here is little lord Vince, the cutest 1/2 Springer, 1/4 Yorkie, 1/4 Bichon mix from the UK again. Vince is living the dream – travels, swims, wrestles with his buddies, and does a great deal of coaching, apparently.
Charlie Lou the lab is a Michigan lady. She takes her safety boat duties very seriously. Well, when she is not taking a nap, that is.
Røyk the river dog (Norwegian elkhound) from the UK takes after his Norse ancestors in his love for Viking ships (aka row boats). Not sure if the Vikings liked to roll in the grass.
And finally we have Peluchina & Coffee, official mascots of the Santiago Club from Nuevo Leon, Mexico. They are truly the support dream team.
By the way, if you are not following @regattadogs yet, you should. They do a great job of getting you your daily fix of rowing dogs from around the world. Maybe that is a new tour idea – going to visit our four legged rowing friends?
