Can you believe we are already half-way though January 2024? Time flies! But good news – it also means it is time for the rowing pups part IV! We share the cutest fluffy mascots and furry coaches almost every Friday though our social media, and create yearly blogposts with the ones that put smiles on our faces (check out part 1, part 2, and part 3).
Here are some our favourite rowing pups from 2023:
Let’s begin with Lucy, a silver lab, regally titled the Silver Rose of the Willamette River is a much loved coach at the Portland Boat Club. She loves giving kisses as much as she loves giving coaching advice.
And here is Rufus, a corgi from Boston, who tried coaching Women’s Rowing team from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. It did not stick, apparently. Napping is much better indeed.
Massimo from Italy enjoys his rowing adventures in the company of his beloved rowing partners – Cindy and York.
We featured mini Aussies Maverick, Moose and their little friend Mable a couple of times this year (and will do it again 😉 ). They are helping to coach the Milwaukee School of Engineering rowing team and do a stellar job.
Ohio State Women’s Rowing team is lucky to have the expertise of golden coach Dutton.
And we had to include Eve, a border collie from Bedford. She loves tennis balls, snuggles and, of course, boats and regattas.
Two honourable mentions this year go to this adorable frenchie that Laura Tauber – our guest – met on the Mosel River trip…
…and to this Berner featured by Hel van het Noorden race account.
